An anesthetic cream is applied before the treatment. This is followed by laser treatment with the fractionated Erbium: YAG laser, which is used to make small holes in the skin. The light sensitizer applied afterwards can better penetrate the skin and thus the precancerous lesions.<\/p>\n

Irradiation with red light (608nm wavelength) results in a photochemical reaction, in which only the precancerous stages (actinic keratosis), the superficial basal cell carcinoma or other large-area precancerous skin stages are treated.<\/p>\n

As no X-rays are used and PDT<\/b> selectively targets damaged areas of skin, the healthy skin remains unharmed. In addition, we also offer so-called daylight PDT<\/b>, where daylight is used instead of light treatment with cold red light in the practice.<\/p>
